PRICES & FEES
Artistic Eye Fine Art Services' objective is to meet the personalized requirements of each client. We work with you to understand your specific goals and will propose a successful strategy for each project. As a result, we assess fees according to the scope of each assignment. We do not charge for phone consultations or review of large collections except where extensive travel is required. We also provide discounts for non-profit institutions.
APPRAISALS
The appraisal fee varies from case to case. It is based on the number of items to be appraised, the amount of documentation and research required, and the intended use of the appraisal make each different. Every individual appraisal is designed to meet the client's personal needs and specific legal requirements. Fees for estates and collections are commensurate with the scope of work and intended use. Our fees are never based on the value of your collection. Appraisal fees for donated property are in some cases tax deductable according to the regulations set forth by the Internal Revenue Service. IDENTIFICATION
If you are unsure if you have a painting or a print, an original work or a copy, we are happy to be of assistance. Initial phone consultations and review of an object via photograph sent by email are at no cost. Site visits which may be necessary for conclusive identification require a nominal fee.
CURATING
Independent curatorial fees - whether for museums, galleries, arts organizations, corporations or individual collectors - are negotiated according to the scope of work and project goals. An open letter of agreement will outline responsibilities, timelines, and compensation resulting in a professionally successful project. Learn more
COLLECTION
Collections development, documentation and research projects are individually unique. There is no charge for the initial consultation (except travel expenses) with a client to assess their particular objectives. Fees are negotiated according to the nature and scope of the assignment. BROKERING
Consignment and brokering of artworks or collections is undertaken selectively. Our initial review of your collection is at no cost to you (except travel expenses). Brokering services fees are by commission. Collections requiring documentation in preparation for sale necessitate other fees that are assessed according to the scope of work involved and is negotiable according to an hourly or project rate.
